Covid hit my business pretty hard, as it did for many in the Nova Scotia wedding industry.\u00a0 So much uncertainty led to postponements, cancellations and a lot of wedding downsizing for our couples.\u00a0 Although it hurt financially I did get a lot of time with my daughters which is an absolute blessing.\u00a0 I also thought to use some of my time to design a more elaborate styled bridal shoot than I usually have time for.\u00a0 I knew it would be a lot of work so I reached out to Shanna of Details Event and Design Studio<\/a> to see if we could partner on this.\u00a0 She was so enthusiastic!\u00a0 We have become good friends and colleagues through all of this and I am so grateful to have her positive kind soul around.<\/p>\n

Shortly after beginning planning we had an epiphany.\u00a0 Let’s turn out efforts into more than just a styled bridal photo shoot.\u00a0 Let’s make this really count for a couple who may have been hit as hard by the difficulties of the past year as we had been.\u00a0 We decided to use our efforts to GIVE AWAY a small Nova Scotia wedding.\u00a0 So it began.\u00a0 We started finding vendors, decide on styling and all of the logistics that are involved with an endeavor this large.\u00a0 Throughout it all Shanna was so organized and, despite a major Covid shutdown that we thought would end the whole thing, kept positive and got me back on track.<\/p>\n

Today I would like to share some photos from The Farm at South Cove styled bridal portion of our day.\u00a0 Jill at The Farm at South Cove was amazing in allowing us to use the amazing property there.\u00a0 I cannot wait to shoot many weddings there in the years to come.\u00a0 All the wonderful vendors for this portion of the day are listed below.\u00a0 Just click their name to take you to their Instagram feed!<\/p>\n
